What is counselling?
Counselling is a safe, confidential space where you can talk about any aspects your life. Working with me, as the counsellor, we will discuss whatever you would like to explore, together. Throughout the process, your well-being and goals for the future will be our top priority. You might like to read more about counselling on the PACFA website (www.pacfa.org.au).
How do I know if I need counselling?
There are many reasons why someone may seek counselling. Perhaps there is something bothering you that you can't put your finger on. Or, there might be a stressful event that has happened recently, or in the past that is causing you worry or concern. Sometimes counselling can help when you are trying to make a difficult decision, or when you just want someone to talk to who can be non-judgemental and confidential.
How many sessions will I need?
Each counselling session is 50 minutes. There is no minimum or maximum number of appointments. We will work out together what's best for you. Whilst some clients may need 4-6 sessions to resolve a short term challenge, other clients may need longer term support. There is no obligation to attend a particular number of sessions.
What are the fees?
My rates are reasonable, and I offer a sliding scale for referrals from community organisations. My aim is to provide an accessible counselling service.
Face to face sessions are available in Bondi Junction in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Online sessions are conducted via Zoom video conferencing technology.
Please contact me to find out more details. My counselling services do not currently qualify for a Medicare rebate.
